How to upgrade from a 32-bit to 64-bit version of Windows 10

Make sure Windows 10 64-bit is compatible with your PC A 64-bit version of Windows can only be installed on computers with capable hardware. As such, the first thing you need to do is to determine whether your  computer  has a 64-bit processor. You can easily get this information from the Settings  app . Use the  Windows key + I  keyboard shortcut to open the Settings app. Click  System . Click  About . Under System type, you will see two pieces of information: if it says  32-bit operating system, x64-based processor , then it means that your PC is running a 32-bit version of Windows 10 on a 64-bit processor.
